Let me tell you about one of my horse clients in this blog. In case you didn’t know, I heal animals as well as humans and in fact a great deal of my time is spent going to different stables to give healing to horses. I don’t often write about it, though, so I thought I’d do that now.
Last week, I got a call from a new client. She owns a stables and riding centre with a number of horses and I had been recommended to her by another horse owner. This woman was so desperate for help with one of her horses that she was even ready to try this ‘crazy lady’ who talked to animals and healed them with her hands!
The horse in question was a beautiful dressage horse but in the last couple of years he had developed some behavioural problems. He would be riding perfectly, doing his dressage work perfectly, then suddenly start wildly shaking his head, try to rear and generally act up. The rider would be frightened and it was dangerous for both of them. The owner said it was like the horse had some kind of Tourette’s condition. She was finding it increasingly difficult to ride him because he was so unpredictable.
I went along to find out what the problem was and, of course, it was all mental and emotional trauma on the horse’s part. The horse showed me that he still had bad memories of when he was first broken in. It was done by a man who had a mean voice, the horse told me. This man wasn’t abusive as such but the voice he used with the horse was nasty it had left the horse with a fear of men, in particular of men with loud voices.
The owner confirmed that the horse does not like loud men.
As well, the horse showed me that when a saddle was put on him for the first time, it was done by a man who was in a hurry. This man didn’t fit the saddle properly. Instead of spending the time to make the necessary adjustments, he forced the saddle on and it hurt the horse in the process. This horse has never been okay with saddles since.
Again, the owner confirmed that this horse could be very particular about what saddle he would wear.
These old unhealed traumas were at the root of the behavioural issues that the horse was now displaying. They were about unhealed trauma.
As well, this fabulous horse was a creature of very high integrity, he is a perfectionist and will pretend he’s fine when he’s not because he wants to do a good job.
I went about healing him as I always do, I removed the trauma from these early experiences with EFT Tapping and EFT Matrix Reimprinting and I channelled the healing energies into his energetic and physical body to start moving the old trauma energy out of his system.
I am very happy to report that the horse responded really well to the healing – as all animals usually do. Animals are so receptive to healing, so much more accepting that humans are.
While I was there, I also had a chat with the humans! I explained to the riders how much of their negativity is taken on by their horse and that, when they ride a horse, it’s crucial to keep their minds clear of worry and negativity. If you’re on a horse and getting depressed and anxious as you think about your problems, your horse will also get depressed and anxious.
When you sit on a horse, your nervous system connects with the horse’s through your spines. The rider’s spine will go into the horse’s spine, it’s like a direct line energetically. It’s like plugging two creatures in and making one. You become one with the horse when you sit on its back. So be aware of the energy you’re sending to this beautiful creature, take responsibility for your ‘energetic hygiene’. Just as we don’t wipe our mud-covered shoes on our friends, don’t wipe your energetic mud all over them either.
When I was growing up with my horses, they were my best friends and, yes, we would chat together. I used to talk to my horse about my problems but I would do it sitting on the ground next to him, I’d never focus on my problems when I was on his back, otherwise I would transfer my negative energies to him.
It’s not just horses and riders though. In fact, all pet owners transfer their emotions and stress to their animals but with a horse and rider and the connection of the spinal cords, it is stronger. As well, horses are especially intelligent and sensitive animals.
Lots of love, Zoe xx
