My niece, Zuzanna (Zuzia, age 11) felt ill one day: stomach ache, diarrhoea, vomiting – rotavirus or food poisoning (we thought). We decided to take her to A&E to be assessed and the doctors decided to keep her in for observation. Over the coming days her health deteriorates and her body starts to reject all food. The local hospital is out of options and so Zuzanna is transferred to a specialist hospital where doctors run more tests.
Finally the doctors discover Zuzia has Hemolytic–uremic syndrome. Her kidneys begin to shut down as the bacteria spreads and damages other organs. Another week goes by with daily blood transfusions and countless medicines. Zuzia's weight is dropping with the lack of food intake, as her condition deteriorates, the doctors feel helpless.
It was during this time that I attended a group healing session with Zoe, she did not know our ‘history’, but she felt my prayers. I will never forget her words: ‘Do not worry, Angels have a plan’.
By now Zuzia's body isn't responding to medicine and she is on dialysis as both kidneys have begun to shut down. Fluid has begun to gather in her lungs are she's struggling to breathe independently. The doctors must operate and decide to put Zuzia in a chemically induced coma, we were told to prepare for the worst - it left like a knife in the heart.
I called Zoe to asked for help. Zoe connected with me and channeled the healing energy through me to Zuzia. She supported us, guided us and gave us hope. Thank you! After every session with Zoe, I felt a positive energy flowing through me. I felt that Zuzia would recover, that she would get better despite the doctors’ negative prognosis. I was full of positive energy and felt that something good and powerful was looking after us and I knew deep down that Zuzia would recover.
Following the surgery, Zuzia remains in a come in ICU, with ongoing dialysis, blood transfusions, a ventilator breathing for her and new antibiotics. On top of kidney failure, she has lung failure and sepsis. Once again I meet with Zoe and ask the Angels to aid with Zuzia’s recovery. As the days pass, Zuzia’s condition, although bad, becomes more stable so the doctors decide to wake her up from coma. I have another session with Zoe and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Although the dialysis and blood transfusions continue – she is slowly getting better.
I continue my sessions with Zoe. Every time she channels the energy through me to Zuzia, asking the Angels to help heal her. Every evening I massaged myself with an Angel Oil on areas where Zuzia’s organs were most affected. More sessions with Zoe, this time with Zuzia participating – every time we have felt positive energy flowing. Then one day the doctors tell us that the worst has passed!
As the weeks pass, Zuzia's health continues to improve. Our weekly meetings with Zoe charge us up and give us the strength and energy to keep going. Finally, after a truly heroic, 6-week battle, we get the news we'd been longing for, Zuzia can come home! Tears of joy!
Zuzia still needs to have regular check-ins with doctors but she is now slowly recovering at home. From the bottom of my heart, I thank:
