Escape the trap of your own mind

Hello Darling!
Here we are on the cusp of 2021. At last, how exciting! There's a lot of hope riding on this new year, isn't there? And I'm sure that you, like me, are praying for an easier time of it in this new year - tentative high hopes!
Regardless of what is going on in the world at large though, I believe that now is a good time to remember that you hold the reins of your life and your happiness.
So if you really do want to shake things up in your life in this coming year; if you want to transform emotionally, physically, spiritually and/or mentally, then you need to address what's keeping you stuck. What better time to do it than the start of fresh new year? This is a wonderful time to take stock, to evaluate where you're at and plan for where you want to be. The good news is that the only thing keeping you stuck is your own subconscious beliefs. It's not your boss who's keeping you stuck, or your partner, or your children, or your job, or your finances, or your health... it's your thoughts. Shift your subconscious patterning and your life cannot do anything but follow suite. In other words, it is impossible for your life to stay the same if you change your thinking. 
So, how do you do that? First you identify the type of limiting beliefs that you have rattling around in your subconscious mind; beliefs that are fuelling self-sabotage behaviour, second, you use one of the many methods available to evict these thoughts from your brain, methods like NLP, EFT Tapping, journaling, ThetaHealing, and more. As an example, I'll give you a link to a DIY 5-step process for releasing limiting beliefs, below.
The stumbling block for many of us is identifying our limiting beliefs because most of us are blind to them, even though they're the kind of things we often repeat - we think these beliefs are facts (eg, 'all the best women/men are already taken', 'women in my industry never make much money', 'nothing ever works out for me', ''I'm too old/too young to get that promotion', 'I'm too old/too young to change careers', 'it's too late for me, I should've done it years ago', 'I've never been able to lose weight before so I won't be able to in future', and so on.) As well though, limiting beliefs are like a Jenga Tower, they are stacked on top of each other and you have to get to the ones at the bottom before the whole tower comes tumbling down.
So let's start unpacking some of your limiting beliefs. Choose one thing that you want in life. Do you want a new relationship? Weight-loss? A new job? Getting out of debt? A career change? Overseas travel? To write a book? To start your own business?
Now, without thinking about it, I want you to take note of the first answer that comes to mind when you read the next question.

Question: This thing you want, why don’t you have it already?


Whatever comes out of your mouth next is a limiting belief or fear, eg, ‘I don't have the time', 'I don't have the money', 'I don't have the talent', 'I procrastinate too much', 'nothing ever works out for me’, ‘My body is determined to stay fat no matter what I do…’, 'Maybe I'm destined to be single all my like, I don't think The One exists for me...'
And this top-of-the-Jenga-stack belief is where you start your unpacking.
First, simply ask 'What if it's not true? What if it's not true that [I can't lose weight/can't change jobs/can't start my own business etc] What if I CAN have this in my life? And even if I can't see how that's possible right now, maybe there is a way, maybe it is possible...'
Second, ask yourself 'where did my limiting belief come from?' and look to your childhood. Limiting beliefs and fears are formed by past experiences and imprints from other people, eg,  ‘everyone in my family is fat’, 'I failed before and I'll fail again', 'in our family we have to struggle to get by'... An imprinted belief is one you've simply absorbed from someone else, usually a parent, and taken it on as a truth. So if your mother or father always said to you, 'no, we can't afford it...' you will most likely absorb this scarcity belief and possibly spend your life playing it out as your own financial problems. 
Third, and very importantly, ask yourself, 'how does holding onto this belief serve me?' This is where many of us stumble; we cannot see any good reason for holding onto a limiting belief. But if the belief is there, you are keeping it for a reason. For example, 'rich people are mean and greedy; I'd rather have less money but be a nice person', or 'if I get a new career it would take up all my time and my marriage would break-down, just like my parents' marriage',  or 'If I found The One, he/she would leave me and the rejection would be unbearable, it's safer to stay single'...

Change your mind, change your life

As 2020 comes to a close, I hear a lot of people already looking towards 2021 and hoping for a brighter and lighter year ahead. As the saying goes though, 'if nothing changes, nothing changes' so I thought that, in this blog, you and I could have a think about how we can make different choices that would allow a 2021 that is a lot more fun and enjoyable than 2020 has been for many of us.
The challenge we now have, as a species, is that so many of us have moved into fear, despair, anger, blame and judgment. Unfortunately, thanks to the immutable laws of the universe, what we feel and think about, we get more of! And if thousands, or even millions, of us are going around feeling despairing and hopeless, what does that achieve? A dispirited world. And you do not get to joy and harmony city by walking down the road of despair!
Admittedly, it's very easy to get riled up these days. Just watch or read the news. Let me summarise the current news headlines for you: 'Doom! Economic ruin! Panic! Hide! Be afraid!...'
Let me offer you a different news briefing: 'Amazing people are doing amazing and generous things to help others; the majority of people who get sick recover in a few days with only mild symptoms; many businesses are thriving in this new environment; people are discovering innovative ways to work and connect online; the planet is getting a much needed break from the pollution of the aviation and petrol industries, as well as a respite from our insatiable consumerism; many people have reprioritised relationships with friends and family; and so on...  can you add anything? 
What if this watershed in human history is a time for us to re-evaluate, regroup, realign, and rebirth ourselves? What do you want from your life going forward into 2021? Who do you want to be? What are you ready to let go of? What limiting false beliefs are you ready to release? (eg 'I'm not good enough/ I'll never succeed / I'm too old/fat/short/broke...') How would you like to spend more of your time in 2021? What new passions and interests do you want to explore? Maybe you want to try paranormal investigating, or pottery, or Pilates, or pigeon racing... let your imagination run wild. As with everything in life, it is we who put the limits on ourselves.
Here are my suggestions for how you can roll out the red carpet for a sensational 2021:

1. Write a list of all the things you would like to do more of in 2021
For example, 'I want to see more stand-up comedy; I want to do an online yoga course for beginners; I want to bake a show-stopper worth of The Great British Bake-off; I want to get a dog or cat from an animal shelter; I want to volunteer at an animal shelter, I want to take an acting class or join a choir...

2. Write a list of the emotions you want to feel more of, eg:
Love, compassion, excitement, pride, connection, joy, calm, appreciation...

3. Now write a list of how you might be able to feel more of those emotions, eg:
  • I will meditate on peace every morning after I first wake up
  • I will dance for five minutes every morning when I first wake up
  • I will start a 2021 gratitude journal and every night when I get into bed, I will write a thank you to the universe for all the good things that happened that day
  • I will perfect my recipe for custard tarts
  • I will take a sketch class, online if I must, and draw my own portrait
  • I will learn to ride a motorbike
  • I will plan a surprise party
  • I will do a 'Captain Tom' by getting sponsored for a 5km run for charity

4. Finally, write a list of all the things you want to let go of
  • I'm no longer going to say 'you idiot' to myself when I make a mistake
  • I will replace the word 'should' with 'choose'
  • I'm going to 'Marie Kondo' my wardrobe and get rid of anything that doesn't fit, doesn't suit me, has a bad memory attached to it, is old-fashioned
  • I'm going to unfollow any social media friends who say hateful things

Why should you bother taking this stock of your life? Because this is how you transform your life! Remember, 'if nothing changes, nothing changes'!
When we remove or reduce the stressors and limiting beliefs in our life, we transform our reality. Really! Our bodies transform and our lives transform. Say for example, you are carrying the subconscious beliefs, picked up in childhood, that ‘my best is never good enough’ or ‘I’m only loved when I struggle’ or ‘I mustn’t be too clever for my own good’, ‘I don’t belong here’, and so on. These are stressful things to believe and so these subconscious beliefs have us feeling slightly on edge a lot of the time, they activate our nervous system… ‘I have to struggle all the time, I have to struggle all the time…’ 
What does this do? It keeps us in a low grade  ‘fight or flight’ state for much of the time. This means our adrenal glands are working over-time to produce cortisol and adrenaline; as soon as you have cortisol in your system, you get insulin, and when insulin is around, you’re storing fat around your middle. The thing is though, you cannot feel your body pumping out these smaller, continual squirts of cortisol and adrenaline. It’s easy to feel a big hit of cortisol and adrenaline, like when you bungee jump off a bridge into a canyon. Your stress hormones are pumping like there’s no tomorrow and you can feel it in every cell of your body. However, the smaller, continual amounts are not so obvious. And if you’ve lived in that low level anxiety state for years, even decades, you think it's normal to feel this way. It is the norm for you and you know no different. It’s like when an air-conditioning unit is whirring in the background but you don’t hear it until it gets turned off and then you realise how loud it was and you feel your body relax.
If left unaddressed, ongoing low-grade stress can lead to adrenal exhaustion and chronic fatigue. From there, conditions like fibromyalgia and diabetes can develop. I see this in my clients all the time. Years and years of continual low-grade stress slowly erodes their health... and yet most of them will say to me 'but I'm not that stressed...' Our society has become so sick with busy disease that we think it's normal! 
Change your beliefs and you change your hormonal balance, and you change your life. Repeat after me: 'I AM good enough!'

Divine Timing

Hello Darling!
This month the subject of diving timing has been on my mind as I try to speed up the completion of a couple of big projects I am working on... to no avail! Despite my efforts to get things happening faster, there is always a delay for one reason or another. The supplier can't supply in time; the factory isn't getting back to you; the designer has gone off-line... and so on.
It happens to all of us for big and small things. But when you're working to a tight and unmoveable deadline (like Santa's elves have to, for example), it can be very stressful.
At times like these, it is common to have a meltdown. When faced with an imminent deadline and the very real possibility of not meeting that deadline, you can get furious, you can pull at your hair, lose your temper, stamp your feet and yell at whoever appears to be to blame for the delays. Or you can surrender to the will of the universe and assume that there is a bigger picture of which you are unaware, that is unfolding beautifully. The universe can see the big picture and there may be really good reasons for why a delay is a good thing - maybe someone new is about to enter your life who offers a better way to proceed; maybe Mercury is in retrograde and everything will run smooth when it goes direct again, maybe the company you're about to write a huge cheque to is about to go bankrupt, or maybe the universe is calling you to pull out all the stops and show just how incredible you are... there can be 1001 reasons for why the timing is not quite right. This does not mean you should give up and throw in the towel; it means adjusting your attitude and finding a new way forward - ideally with grace.
Like the old saying goes, 'a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor'. Similarly, you do not get to find out how skilled a sailor you are until the seas are rough.
As challenges arise to test one's patience, they are an opportunity to discover more about yourself. How do you respond to adversity? How do you respond to disappointment? How do you respond to the mistakes of others? How quickly can you adapt to changing circumstances?
Anyone can be gracious and good-humoured when times are good but to really know yourself, you need to find out who you are when things are tough. Are you resourceful, flexible, solution-oriented?
For me, the delays in the projects I am trying to launch are frustrating so I am doing my best to surrender to divine timing and trust that they will birth at the most perfect time. And of course, I have red wine and chocolate to help ease the labour pains! Thank goodness.

All Creatures Great and Small

This month's blog is dedicated to our friends in the animal kingdom because 4th October is World Animal Day. This date was chosen because it's the feast day of Saint Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals and the environment. Saint Francis lived in the 13th century and died from illness on 4 October 1226. He didn't start out as a man of God though, Francis was quite the lad as a young man, it's said he enjoyed a wild youth followed by a brief career as a soldier, but then he had a conversion experience - a spiritual awakening in today's speak - that inspired him to renounce his family's wealth and devote his life to God. Basically, he said God spoke to him and told him to sort out the church, which had lost its way.
As well as being generally Godly, Francis in particular had a love of nature and of animals. He was a fierce protector of animal welfare and would provide a voice for animals when they had none.
As an animal communicator, one of the things I do is telepathically communicate with animals and it is endlessly hilarious, enlightening, educational and touching to hear what they have to say.  If you have pets, I can assure you they know so much more about what's going on in your life than you can possibly imagine! They know what you're thinking because they can 'catch' the images in your head, they can read what's in your energy field; nothing gets past them! Animals are just like us in so many ways, they feel happy, they get sad, they get upset and distressed, they have senses of humour, they tease, they joke and prank, they take umbrage, they dislike injustice, they feel compassion and joy, and of course they love!
Let me share one story here, I had a horse client whose human guardian called me, and she was a little upset because her beloved horse had bitten her earlier that day, not a big bite, more of  nip but still completely out of character behaviour. This horse had never bitten her before and she wanted to know why her normally loving horse had done such a thing. So I had a telepathic 'chat' with the horse and discovered that, yes, he was upset with his human! Why? It was his birthday and she had forgotten all about it. She didn't make a fuss of him and didn't give him birthday presents of apples and carrots. He was most put out! 
I relayed all this information back to the human guardian who said, 'oh my god, yes, it IS his birthday... please tell him I'm really sorry and I'll back to the stable this afternoon with his birthday treats.'
She went back to see the horse that afternoon, with a big basket of apples, carrots, sugar lumps and more. Sure enough, the horse was delighted, he snuggled into her neck and was his usual loving self. Just like us, animals like to be appreciated and valued.
I believe that animals are one of the greatest blessings from God. They love us unconditionally and are our greatest teachers of unconditional love - if we would only learn the lesson!

Appreciation is a superpower

I read a wonderful blog by someone else a week or two ago and I liked it so much that I am doing my own version of its theme here. The writer of that blog was Paula Fellingham of the Women's Information Network and she wrote about the power of appreciation. In my case, she was preaching to the choir! I have been talking about the power of gratitude, positivity and appreciation for as long as I can remember. 
My clients are always getting told by me to stay positive. In fact, one of the biggest issues I see in in people who seem stuck and cannot evolve to a place of greater wellbeing and happiness is their mental attitude. They will repeat their doubts over and over like a mantra or magic spell. 'This will never work...', 'It's no good, I give up, this will fail...', 'There's no hope...', 'I shouldn't have done that...' 'It serves me right...' etc. These self-fulfilling statements will bring about exactly the situation they describe because WORDS ARE POWER.
Words are little packages of energy. Incantations. They are a frequency, a vibration. So notice the words you automatically choose. They are reflecting and matching your vibration. To raise your vibration and create a new, better reality, consciously choose different words. Choose empowering positive words.
So, if we bring this back to the power of appreciation, the words we endeavour to sprinkle regularly into our discourse could include: 'I am so grateful, I am so thankful, I am blessed, thank you so much, I appreciate you, I appreciate what you've done for me,' etc.
And if we feel the frequency of appreciation and gratitude in our hearts as we say these words, then the Universe can do nothing else but deliver us more reasons and experiences and situations to feel more appreciation and gratitude. It is an inviolable spiritual law. This law does not judge what it delivers. It is as dispassionate as the law of gravity, which does not judge whether or not it is 'good' or not for an object to fall to Earth. That is simply how the law works. Similarly, the law of attraction does not judge whether what you are magnetising into your life is 'good' or 'bad'. It simply gives you more of the same, more of what you are 'asking for' through your vibration - which is effected by the words you choose and the feelings you feel.
The power of appreciation is that it builds an atmosphere of love and gratitude. The need to be appreciated, to feel appreciated, is one of the most fundamental human needs. We need to be needed! The best place to start your appreciation practise is with yourself and your family and friends.
Here are some ideas to show yourself and your loved ones appreciation:

1. Show appreciation to yourself
Write a post-it note to yourself (or several) and thank yourself for something, and stick them up where you will see them regularly eg, 'Thank you for always feeding the cat on the morning so your husband can have five more minutes in the shower'
'Thank you for being a loving partner'
'Thank you for picking up litter in the park yesterday.

Write new ones every day or two. Do this for a week and see how you feel.

2. Show appreciation to your family
At the dinner table, have everyone in the family write their name on a piece of paper then everyone passes their paper to the right. Each person writes something they appreciate about the family member on every sheet of paper that comes past them until they've got their own piece of paper back. They can then read the comments and all family members can say something about the family that they appreciate.

3. Show appreciation to your friends
For example, the next time you're with a friend for coffee, say, 'let me buy you a coffee today just because you're so fabulous and I love your company.'

3. Show appreciation to strangers
When you see the street cleaner who works for the council go by say, 'thank you so much for keeping our town clean'. At the supermarket, say to the check-out person, 'thank you so much for your lovely smile when you're so busy'. In your favourite cafe, 'I love the way you put a heart shape on my latte, thank you!'

Making appreciation a habit helps make the world a kinder, nicer place. This is the pandemic we should be working on to spread around the world. And I believe that if we really did have a global pandemic of appreciation, it would significantly reduce the not-so-nice pandemics we're experiencing.

You cannot pour from an empty cup

Hello Darling!
As I type this, I am on a boat in Brighton, on a family getaway for a few days. It is so wonderful to get a change of scene, so wonderful to be relaxing... which is why I wanted to talk about the importance of self-care in this blog. We all know we should but so few of us really do put self-care as the priority it needs to be. Women especially are  all too willing to put their own needs, time and energy as the last priority, always choosing to give away our time, our skills, our life force and our energy to other people. Men, as well, put the needs of others above their own at times but I think men are better at 'switching off' because they've been programmed by the 9 to 5 working mentality. So they 'clock off' at 5pm and put their feet up. Women, on the other hand, have not had this time-based working week. Traditionally, women are on the go from the moment they wake till the moment they put their heads on the pillows. 'A women's work is never done', as that awful phrase claims. I suggest we throw this idea in the rubbish now. Because there is another pertinent maxim, which is 'You cannot serve from an empty vessel' or 'You cannot pour from an empty cup'. I'm not sure where these phrases originated but the author Eleanor Brownn summed it up well when she said:
“Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow. You cannot serve from an empty vessel.”
And I am saying this to you because I know I have to learn this lesson myself! I tend to run myself ragged for family and friends but as well I find it hard to say 'no' to strangers who call or email me for help with themselves, their loved ones, or their animals... but who are not able to pay me for my work. Some of these people are indeed in dire straits and fundamentally, I am a healer, this is my purpose, so I heal them as best I can. I was put on this Earth to offer healing to others through the gifts I've been given by God. However I know that a balance must be struck and I am now trying to strike that balance a little better as recently I've been over-giving and burning myself out as a result. I cannot be an effective healer if I am burnt out and exhausted. As well, I have my own bills to pay like everyone so I need to earn money from my work. This is what I am focusing on at the moment -- filling my own cup again so that I have plenty to offer others. Thank goodness this mini-break is by the sea, the energies of the ocean are magical and life-restoring.
So, I invite you to take a moment's introspection. Where are you leaking your energy? How are you leaking your power? What or who is draining you? Where is there an imbalance in give and take? Most importantly, how can you alter this to find the balance and refill your cup to overflowing once again?
Here are some tips:
1. If you feel your heart contract when someone asks you to do something, then gently say 'no' or apply conditions, eg, 'sure, if you could help me with ...' or 'sure, my hourly rate is...'
2. Sleep more. Go to bed an hour earlier with a good book.

3. Ask for help and delegate - why do you have to do it all yourself? Watch out for 'martyr syndrome' in yourself and ask yourself if your need to be indispensable - your need to be needed - is linked to subconscious beliefs of low self-worth or not being loved (these are very common, just FYI).
4. Nourish yourself properly. How can you expect to have health, vitality and energy if you don't put quality foods into your body? If you're surviving on caffeine and cheap sandwiches.
5. Prioritise your self-care in whatever way it means to you

Interspecies telepathy for all

Hello darling!
One of the things that has been highlighted during the months of Corona virus lockdown is how much better the natural world fares when humans get out of the way for a while. It has been a joy to hear the birds rejoicing in the cleaner air, the insects humming, and even the trees and plants seem to have been happier.
It is my dearest, most heartfelt wish that the human species could remember that they are an intrinsic part of the natural world, as much an ‘animal’ of this planet as are the lions, the elephants, the dogs, the squirrels… and every other sentient being that lives on Earth.
This is why I am so excited by the rise in the interest in animal communication. I believe it has the potential to shift consciousness and profoundly change the way we, humans, live in the world.

RECONNECTION
I believe we were not always so disconnected from the animal and plant world. I believe that this disconnection is a relatively recent thing of the past 3000 or so years. As humans, we have existed in a form similar to the form we now take for about 200,000 years and I believe that for most of those millennia, we used our natural ability to communicate telepathically with other species and so lived alongside these other creatures in harmony. This is how our ancestors knew which plants could be used to heal which sicknesses – because the plants told them. And many indigenous cultures still do communicate with, and have a reverence for the natural world, for example the native Americans and the Aborigines of Australia, as well as tribes in Africa and South America.
Telepathic communication with animals is not only possible, it is a dormant ability that we are all born with but humans have forgotten how to use it. Although I also suspect that in some respects, this ‘forgetting’ has been deliberate and convenient. Because if we knew for sure that animals felt exactly the same emotions as we did; if we knew they felt sadness and joy, hurt, trauma and pain, and if we knew they had hopes and dreams just like us, then we could not so easily use them like the chattel that we have been. We could not keep them in the concentration camps we call intensive or factory farming. We could not torture them for pharmaceutical development or for the cosmetic industry. We could not keep them prisoners in zoos or cages or aquariums for our entertainment. We can only carry out these horrors because we can tell ourselves that animals do not feel or think like humans. We tell ourselves that the earth and everything on it is here for our convenience to use and abuse as we see fit.

FINDING OUR WAY BACK
This is why I believe the rise in interest in telepathic animal communication is so desperately important. The more people who really communicate with animals; who listen to their concerns and understand their feelings, then the more the consciousness of humanity will awaken and shift. And the species that will benefit most from this shift is us, the humans. And if we do not, then we will continue to get sicker in every way. We will continue to see pandemics run rampant through our populations, pandemics of obesity, depression, diabetes, cancers, dementia, viruses… and more. These conditions are symptoms of our disconnection from the natural world and its rhythms. They will not be resolved until we remember who we really are, until we reconnect back to our natural selves, and end the senseless consumerism that is seeing us destroy our planetary home.
As a species, we are lost. The natural world can help us find our way out of this mess, if we are willing to listen. Are you willing to listen? Want to give it a try?

Here are some simple steps:
1. First remember to always always always speak to animals from your heart - this is communication between souls, between equals.
2. Be still in your mind. Take some time to quieten the mind by closing your eyes and taking some slow deep breaths.
3. Bring the animal you wish to communicate with to mind. Feel your heart fill with love for the animal. In your mind, repeat, 'I love you' and imagine your love flowing from you in a beam of light and filling their heart, surrounding their whole body in your love.
4. Ask if they would be willing to communicate with you (be understanding if they say 'now's not a good time, I'm hunting, maybe later...' or similar)
5. If they're willing to chat, ask what you want to know. If you're practising as a beginner, start with simple questions like 'what's your favourite toy?', or 'what do you like to do for fun?', 'what's your favourite food?'
6. Let images, thoughts, knowings, physical sensations come to your mind and body.
7. Don't dismiss anything. Choose to believe a communication took place.
8. Thank the animal for communicating and send them a loving 'goodbye for now' thought. Most of all, send the animal your love and respect.

If you've never tried this before, do not be disheartened if it doesn't seem to work. Just like any muscle, your telepathic muscle needs practise and training. You would not expect to go to the gym for the first time and do 20 repetitions of a heavy weight, no, you build up your muscle strength with regular practise, patience and persistence,

Lessons from lockdown

Hello Darling!
Our months of self-isolation and social distancing are starting to wind down. The light at the end of the lockdown tunnel is in sight!
What though, have we learnt from this most unusual experience? What are the lessons and blessings to take away? Perhaps, before we launch ourselves back into the manic lives of pre-lockdown, we could pause a moment and consider whether the future could be better if we keep some of our lockdown lessons.
I am very aware that for many people, this has been a tragic time. Loved ones have died from this virus. My heart goes out to all those who have lost their near and dear ones. 
Perhaps the biggest lesson for us all from this is a poignant reminder of what truly matters. What is truly important in our lives. I'll give you a clue... it is not things!
It is relationships, connections, love, nature, friendship, community, compassion, the health of the planet and the beings that live on it.
For me, it has been such a joy to see the natural world thrive during this time. As humans have taken a step back from our relentless polluting and consuming, the birds, animals, insects, and plant-life have come to life. I feel like the natural world is bursting forth with a renewed joy as the air, soils and waters get a breather from human pollutants.  Going forward, I hope that we all take things a little slower, that we drive our cars less and walk more, that we spend more time with loved ones, and that we take time to appreciate the beauty of the natural world, and that we remember we are part of the natural world! 

Here are some of the blessings and learnings from my lockdown:

1. Distant healing works wonders
My energy healing is just as effective - if not more effective - done online. This has been a revelation! And will change the way I work going forward. Thanks to online healing, I can reach so many more people and animals. I've been working on horses in Texas, France, and Geneva... all via Skype! And it's worked beautifully. Amazing.

2. The flora and fauna have thrived!
The joyful birdsong says it all. The natural world has been able to take much needed sigh of relief as we human polluters have retreated for a while, leaving the air cleaner.

3. We can all live happily without 'things'
One of the big lessons is that we can live so much more simply than we have been. We do not need so many 'things'. These 'things' are not what bring us joy. Connection with others is what matters.

4. We can survive without junk food and takeaways
We all had to eat at home and the world didn't stop turning.

5. Huge problems can be solved quickly if the will is there
Homelessness. Thousands of people were living on the streets of Britain. Government after government has made out this was a problem too big to fix. Along comes coronavirus and every homeless person is taken off the streets within a week.

There's nothing we cannot do if we pull together. I am excited and hopeful about the new kinder and cleaner world we will create post-Corona.

Distance makes no difference with energy healing

One of the big revelations I have had during my last six weeks (and counting) of self-isolation, due to the coronavirus lockdown, is the mind-boggling and incredible power of distance healing. 
In theory, I have always known that the power of energy healing is not limited by physical distance but until recently, even I did not fully comprehend just how powerful healing can be, even when it's sent to someone - person or animal - in another country, via an online platform like Skype or Zoom. It is something that's really hit home with me since the pandemic has caused all my healing work to move online. Even I've been amazed at the results!
One recent success was with a pony in France named Ballerina, the vets wanted to get her in for her on surgery asap for an issue with her hoof. And it's not just animals that have responded amazingly to distance energy healing, I've had numerous testimonials from happy human clients as well.  One client, Jane, was on three Tramadol a day for her back pain due to spinal curvature; after several online sessions, the pain has all but gone and she is no longer taking Tramadol. So, there is no doubt in my mind whatsoever that physical proximity is not necessary for a successful energy healing session. Yet it is still very hard for those of us who are deeply mired in the five senses physical world to begin to comprehend how distance healing can be real or possible. Perhaps in the same way that a milkmaid or blacksmith in the 16th century could not comprehend watching a video on a mobile phone.
In recent years though, quantum physics has come close to validating the existence of what the quantum scientists call 'non-locality'. I am not for a minute going to pretend I really understand quantum physics but I have heard of the Three Eras Of Healing by US doctor Larry Dossey. Era 1 is the old-fashioned Western model that sees the body as a kind of machine and when something goes wrong, the only solutions are physical or pharmacological. Era 2 is the increasingly accepted psycho and neurological approach, which accepts there is memory in cells throughout the body - not just in the brain. As well, it accepts that our emotions, thoughts, beliefs and feelings have a direct impact on our physical health. Era 3 is where the mind is described as 'non-local' and unconfined by space or time. There are now groups of researchers who are collating evidence of Era 3 healings. One such is the Soul Medicine Institute, which has set up an international database of energy psychology case histories that are peered reviewed. 
It is early days of Era 3 medicine but imagine for a moment, the incredible potential of this work, if we could truly harness the power of non-local healing. What a world we could create! No more illness or suffering as we currently know it. As well, we would have a deeper understanding of ourselves as multi-dimensional spiritual beings. It's very exciting and I am fascinated with experimenting more and more in this area. To that end, I am currently experimenting with a friend using distance energetic facelifts! I'm seeing if I can fade her eye bags over Skype! I'll let you know how we go. Meanwhile, take care and stay safe and well.

How to cope as Coronoia sweeps the world

Hello Darling,
There is basically just one word on the lips of the entire world right now: coronavirus. Aka covid-19.
It is absolutely incredible how swiftly and comprehensively this virus has brought the world as we know it to its knees. The structures on which we have built our lives, societies and communities have crumpled almost overnight. Our financial institutions, our governments, our civil liberties, our food supply chains, our healthcare systems, our social welfare systems... all have buckled and groaned under the weight of the pressures from this unprecedented pandemic.
Will anything ever be the same again? 
I don't think so.
Me, I'm currently self-isolating at home. I have found myself verging on hypochondria and 'coronoia': 'Oh no, my throat is dry, do I have the virus?'
I've found myself thinking this kind of thing quite a lot as I scan myself every day for the signs of symptoms. I suspect I'm just a little run down but who knows? To be on the safe side though (and at the insistence of my panicking children!), I decided to stay put, be at home alone, for the duration, before we were all told to go into lockdown as a nation.
So I haven't seen friends or family in person for almost two weeks. I'm doing an awful lot of talking on Skype and online video! It's keeping me sane. Every night at 7pm, I have an online date with a dear friend and we have a 'quarantini' together (a vodka martini that you have at home alone). As well, I've started doing yoga in the morning with a yoga teacher who's offering free online classes during the corona lockdown. I'm also doing all of my healing sessions online so my work continues. Online and distance healing is just as effective as it is in person and I am happy that people are realising this - healing energy is not bound by time or space.
So many things are changing so quickly. Like I said, will anything ever be the same again? 
No, I don't think so.
The real question is, is this a good or a bad thing?
​That depends on you and what you decide to choose.
So what will you choose? What will you focus on throughout, and in the aftermath, of this whole thing? Will you go into fear and panic? Or will you choose love and self-care. It is very easy right now to go into fear. Like I said, I've done it myself. All you have to do is watch the news for a few hours and you'll feel your anxiety levels skyrocket! The problem with this, though, is that a state of anxiety triggers your sympathetic nervous system, which floods your system with cortisol and in turn suppresses your immune system. In other words, the more anxious you get about the virus, the more susceptible you make yourself to getting it! (Oh, and all that cortisol triggers the body to store fat as well - that's right, stress makes you fat! If there was ever a reason NOT to get too anxious, surely it's that!)
Of course you must take all the steps necessary to keep yourself and your loved ones safe, but do this from a place of LOVE. Nourish your body with fresh, wholefoods to strengthen your immune system. Keep up your levels of vitamin C through food and/or supplementation. Make sure you get fresh air and daily exercise. Get plenty of sleep and drink plenty of water.
I would encourage you to notice when you find yourself sinking into a black hole of fear and panic and catch yourself before you do. This is because the universal law of attraction means that whatever you feel, brings more of that feeling and calls in more experiences for you to feel that feeling. Here is part of a message from the Indian yogi and spiritual teacher, Sadhguru, on this:
“Whatever we are talking about is what we are perpetuating in our experience. The only way to keep any kind of illness or virus or flu away is to not talk about it and it will dissipate itself. What we do instead is keep checking the statistics or keep spreading the "awareness" messages on social media without noticing that the more we talk about it, the more it becomes active in our vibration. History is full of evidence of epidemics because of the mass consciousness created by fear of the disease. Fear is a very strong vibration and more fearful we are of any epidemic it becomes a reality very fast.. it's the law. The more you feed the energy of fear the more profound it becomes. Ignore the things you don't want to participate in. Stop discussing it with family and friends; stop checking out the latest statistics. Stop watching incessantly the news about Corona Virus. Take your attention away and It has no power on you. The creation of anything is to give thought to it by keeping it active in our vibration by being afraid of it. Hook yourself up with ever flowing stream of well- being”.

It's easier said than done, I know, but if you can turn your thoughts to positive ones, it will help. For me, I am grateful that this situation has finally got me doing yoga; I'm grateful for all the friends and loved ones I've reconnected with for the first time in ages; I'm grateful for this enforced relaxation because my body needed it (I'm not good at relaxing normally); I'm grateful to finally have plenty of time to try that new cake recipe; I'm grateful for the neighbours who have stepped in to help me... and for so many more things that have come out of this experience.
And don’t resist solitude, embrace it. Think yourself so lucky to have time to spend just evaluating your life. Use it as a chance to get away from the pressures of your normal day and be able to let your mind go to a positive, constructive space.
Think of what really matters to you. It’s not material wealth; CV-19 does not mind if you are as rich as Croesus or poor as a church-mouse. What is important is that you will continue to just live.
Value those whom, if they succumbed, you would be devastated. All of us have had to deal with the enormity of the death of a loved one, use this time to love your friends unconditionally.
Value yourself. When faced with this sort of crisis, is it not the time to put all distractions to one side, and just appreciate how amazing you are? And vow when this is all over, to live your life embracing what you have learned. Be less self-critical; be less critical of others; look at how you can add not take away.
What an unforgettable time we are living in. From the bottom of my heart, I hope that you stay healthy and safe as we navigate our way through this as individuals, as families, as communities, as nations, and as a species.
