Although Zoë works with any kind of animal, she is especially fond of horses and has been around them all her life. Horses were her passion when she was a child and in her teens. At four years old she had her own Shetland pony. Her life was consumed with horses, from one-day eventing in Scotland to having her own Arab horses in Bahrain, where she rode across the desert, walked them into the shallow sea, enjoying the freedom of riding in exotic landscapes. Below, Zoë describes her healing methods:
"When I meet a horse for the first time, I always ‘psych’ or tune into him or her to see what is going on in the mind. I spend some time getting to know the horse. We start to communicate at this point. I may get information about his or her past life and certainly from the earlier years, informing me of any damaging memories or specific events.
"As I do with humans, I work with my Angels to guide and help me ‘channel’ the energy and information needed to help the healing process. This allows me to be the vehicle to bring the healing through my hands, inducing a very strong bond between the horse and myself.
"Very often, there are past traumas to be healed as well as present healing concerns. Once the traumas are found, I work on the areas in the body where they have manifested. Sometimes it is necessary to perform ‘psychic surgery’ to remove the problem. This is a gentle, non-invasive procedure but extremely powerful and actually very soothing for the horse. Generally, there are energy blocks in the body so I work on the ‘meridians’, releasing the energy flow that allows the organs to work at their highest level in order to restore the body and mind to the best of health."
The gravity of the problem dictates the number of treatments needed: giving one or a few in close succession until the owner and I are happy with the improvement. It is advisable then to have regular maintenance treatments to keep the horse healthy, re-balanced and energized. Depending on the horse, a visit every two to three months should be sufficient.
Zoë is a natural healer and has been using her gifts, quietly and unassumingly, with great effect for the past forty years. She also has diplomas in Aromatherapy, Hypnotherapy and Reiki and is a member of the NSFH (National Federation of Spiritual Healers). She uses ‘hands- on’ healing to restore the body and mind to health and knows that her life-long rapport with animals can especially help dogs, cats and horses as well as people, as she has been doing this all her life.
As well as practising in the United Kingdom, Zoë works in Switzerland, France, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Germany and Italy. She has previously worked in Bahrain, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.
"Apart from treating ailments, I frequently give treatments to professional dressage horses or one-day eventers a couple of days prior to their shows. This make a significant difference to their performance on the day.
"My horses just love their treatments for the relief and relaxation they feel. Most of them fall asleep on their feet within a very short time of me touching them. In fact, I have some regulars that actually voluntarily lie on the ground towards the end of a session so that I have to finish their treatment with them fast asleep with their heads lying on my lap! This was the case with Bravo in the photo above. He initially had a leg injury that I healed but I have continued regular ‘maintenance’ healings with him to re-balance his energies and keep him healthy. I do this with many of my other horses. It improves their lives and those of their owners!
"All in all I find it a great honour to work with these majestic creatures."
