Nature and angels

Hello Darling!
With my first angel workshop of the year happening in a few days, I am feeling a little angel-focused today so I'm just going to go with that. As I prepare for the workshop, I've been reminded about the questions that usually pop up as people begin to play with the idea of angelic realms, angelic beings, and guardian angels. I'm going to address some of these here. First, people ask me, 'if angels exist, why can't I hear mine?' There are several possible reasons. One is that your belief about how you will receive guidance is too limited. The messages might not be coming in the way you expect.
Just like a British tourist who travels to some exotic far-flung country and gets frustrated when he can't communicate with the locals. What does he do? Uses the same language but louder. Still he's not understood so he starts shouting. He gets angry and assumes these people are ignoring him or making fun of him. He does not consider that there are many modes of communication - not everyone speaks his dialect of English language. If he calmed down he would realise there are many other communication channels available to him if would just broaden his idea of how messages can be given and received, for example, he could draw a picture or use sign language. 
Our angels communicate with us in a myriad of ways -- many of which are as subtle as a summer breeze so you need to pay attention. Our angels may send us guidance in the form of a nudge towards a book or a movie; they may send a symbol in the form of an animal or bird; they may send healing via a bird song you hear; it may just be a thought that keeps popping into your head; it may be via a conversation you overhear on the bus or in a cafe. It could be a repeated symbol such as heart shapes being offered to you in all sorts of ways. It may be the words written on the side of the truck that just cut you off, or the sensation of rain on your cheek.
Yes, it would be nice if your guardian angel appeared in front of you in full angelic splendour and sat down with you for a chat to answer all your questions. I'm not saying something like that never happens, it does, but in only the rarest circumstances because God did not task his angel messengers to work with us in this way. They are our guides, protectors and friends in Spirit. Not unlike, perhaps, the friends who volunteer to be on the sidelines when you  run a marathon -- they will make sure you stay on the right path, offer you a cup of water as you pass by desperate for a drink, they will pass you a banana or glucose sachet to keep your energy up, and they will cheer you on, clapping and assuring you that you can do it when you hit 'the wall' and are ready to give up. They won't though, carry you on their backs, run the race for you, or go into in-depth discussion about training schedules whilst you're mid-run. They'll be there at the end of the race though, ready to give you a big hug and a congratulations.
Finally, one of my biggest tips for re-setting your brain to be more receptive to Spirit messages and guidance is get out in nature. Every day. Breathe that ionised air and, ideally, let your bare feet stand on the earth. I will finish with a poem by Carrie Latet:

A teardrop in the falling rain?
Hear a whisper amongst the rustle of leaves?
Or been kissed by a lone snowflake?
Nature is an angel's favourite hiding place.
